What actually is a confirmation statement?
An annual snapshot confirming that what Companies House holds about your company — directors, shareholders, PSCs, SIC codes, registered office — is correct. It replaced the old annual return. There's no tax in it and no accounts; it's purely about the register being right.
When is mine due?
Within 14 days of the end of your 12-month review period, which usually runs from your incorporation anniversary or your last statement. Dormant companies file too. If you're not sure of your date, tell us your company number and we'll look it up — it takes a minute.
What happens if I just don't file it?
It's a criminal offence, and it's the fastest common route to being struck off — Companies House assumes an unresponsive company is a dead one. If yours is already overdue, our rescue package files it quickly and gets the record straight before the strike-off machinery starts.
Is this service really available anywhere in the UK?
