Does Companies House charge for director changes?
No — appointment and termination filings are free at Companies House. Our fee is for doing it correctly: the right form, identity verification, the consent trail, and chasing it through to confirmation.
What does the new director need to do?
Consent to act, provide their details, and complete Companies House identity verification — a legal requirement for directors since November 2025. We walk them through it; the check itself takes a few minutes on a phone.
Can a director resign if the others disagree?
Yes — any director can resign at any time by giving notice, and we file the TM01 to make it official. Removing an unwilling director is different: that needs the proper shareholder procedure first, and we'll tell you honestly if your situation needs legal advice rather than a filing.
Is this service really available anywhere in the UK?
Yes — the whole engagement is online, so location is irrelevant. Records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. Same service, same fixed fee, everywhere.
