Who you're dealing with

We're Bohzo Ltd (Company No. 15031604) — a registered UK company you can look up, not an anonymous website.

What makes us different

Online accountants vs the high street

A high-street accountant in Wales typically bills by the hour, meets by appointment and prices each extra question. We work the other way round: one fixed fee agreed in writing before anything starts, every question included, and the whole engagement handled online — which is exactly why we can serve Tre-Rhos at fees a walk-in office can't match.

There's no office to fund in Tre-Rhos and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.

Fixed quote in writing

You get one written fixed price before anything begins — and if your case is unusual, we price that honestly up front.

Onboarding is a phone job: verify identity, sign the engagement letter, upload records. Nothing needs you to leave Tre-Rhos.

Approve, then we file

You review everything first. Then it goes to HMRC electronically and you get confirmation immediately.

Serving Tre-Rhos

The same service in Tre-Rhos as anywhere — by design

We built this service so that someone in Tre-Rhos never pays a premium — or accepts worse service — because of geography. Same specialists, same published fees, same speed, wherever in Wales you are.

Smaller towns like Tre-Rhos are exactly why we work online: the nearest high-street firm may be a drive away, keep office hours, and price like scarcity. Your accountant should be as close as your phone — and priced like competition exists.

Questions

Tre-Rhos bookkeeping FAQs

Which bookkeeping software do you use?

Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent — whichever suits your business (or whichever you already use). Software subscription can be included in your monthly fee, and we handle all the setup and migration.

What counts as a transaction?

Each line on your bank statement — a payment in or out. Most one-person businesses sit comfortably under 50 a month. If you drift over your band we'll tell you before the fee changes, never after.

My books are months behind — can you catch them up?

Yes, catch-up bookkeeping is one of the most common jobs we take on. We'll quote a one-off fixed fee for the backlog, then a monthly fee to keep you current from there.

Do I need to visit an office in Tre-Rhos?

No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Tre-Rhos or anywhere else in Wales.

I searched "bookkeeping near me" — is this service really local to Tre-Rhos?

Tre-Rhos is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Tre-Rhos town centre or the edge of Wales. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.

Who will actually handle my bookkeeping?

Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.

How do your fixed fees work?

You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.

Worth knowing

The short version of the rules that matter

The 31 January deadline, without the panic

Online Self Assessment returns are due by 31 January, along with any balancing payment — and HMRC's £100 penalty applies the moment the deadline passes, even if you owe nothing. Most Tre-Rhos clients who come to us in January still file on time; the records just need to arrive before the last week.

Bookkeeping that takes minutes, not weekends

HMRC requires records to be kept for at least five years after the filing deadline for the self-employed. Digital copies count. A cloud folder or app now beats a carrier bag of paper every time — for you and for any future enquiry.

CIS: refunds hide in the paperwork

Subcontractors under the Construction Industry Scheme have 20% deducted at source — often more than their final tax bill once expenses and the personal allowance are counted. That's why CIS refunds are so common: the average claim is well into four figures, but only if the deduction statements are all gathered.

Penalties escalate on a timetable

If a return is late because HMRC asked for one you don't actually need, it can sometimes be withdrawn entirely — penalties included. And where there's a genuine reasonable excuse, appeals succeed more often than people expect. The wrong move is ignoring the letters.

Capital gains: windows and allowances

Timing disposals across tax years, using losses properly, and the spousal transfer rules can all legitimately reduce capital gains bills — but only before the sale. CGT planning after completion is just arithmetic.

Payments on account, decoded

Payments on account catch people out because the first year effectively bills you one-and-a-half years of tax at once. Knowing that in advance changes how you save through the year — and if profits fall, we can apply to reduce the July payment rather than lending HMRC money interest-free.

Switching accountants is easier than you think

The best time to switch is after a filing, but it works at any point in the year. What matters is not letting a looming deadline stop you: a new firm can usually pick up an in-flight year faster than you'd think.

The VAT registration threshold

VAT registration becomes compulsory once your taxable turnover in any rolling 12 months passes £90,000 — and "rolling" is the word that catches people, because it's not your accounting year. Businesses in Tre-Rhos growing towards that line should be watching it monthly.

General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Tre-Rhos, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
