Why Edge businesses pick Bohzo
Before we touch anything for a Edge client, the fee is in writing — and it stays put. Hourly billing doesn't exist here.
Upload, approve, filed. The whole engagement runs from your phone or laptop, on your schedule rather than office hours.
Bohzo Accountants is a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, Company No. 15031604.
Every filing date that applies to you goes in our diary the day you join — and we chase the records, not the other way round.
Compare our fixed corporation tax fees
| Your situation | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| CT600 with accounts prepared by us | included in accounts packages |
| Standalone CT600 from your accounts | £199 |
| CT600 with capital allowances review | £299 |
| Overdue CT600 rescue | £279 |
“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.
Online accountants vs the high street
Most local firms near Edge quote low, bill by the hour and reserve the right to charge for every phone call. We built the opposite: written fixed fees agreed up front, unlimited questions inside the price, and a fully online workflow — no premises anywhere, so no premises priced into your fee in Edge.
There's no office to fund in Edge and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.
Corporation Tax in Edge: from first message to filed
Start with a message — no forms, no phone queue. Tell us what needs doing and we take it from there.
One fixed price before any work starts. Complex case? We say so now, not on the invoice.
The legal bits — ID verification, engagement letter — happen online in minutes, then your records come in via the portal or WhatsApp.
We prepare, you check and approve, we submit — and you get the HMRC confirmation the same day it's filed.
The same service in Edge as anywhere — by design
Whether your business trades from Edge itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Edge clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.
A lot of our West Midlands clients switched from local firms after one too many surprise invoices. The fix wasn't a cheaper local firm; it was removing the billing model that produces surprises. Fixed fees, in writing, before the work — that's the whole trick.

Edge corporation tax FAQs
What rate of corporation tax will my company pay?
19% on profits up to £50,000, 25% above £250,000, and marginal relief in between — an effective rate that climbs gradually. Associated companies split those thresholds, which catches many owners with more than one company. We calculate it precisely.
The payment is due before the return — is that right?
Yes, oddly: payment is due 9 months and 1 day after year end, but the return itself isn't due until 12 months. We prepare everything well before the payment date so you know the bill with time to plan.
Can you review whether I've missed reliefs in past years?
Yes — you can generally amend a CT600 up to 12 months after its filing deadline, and some claims reach back further. If you think allowances went unclaimed, we'll review and quote a fixed fee for any amendment worth making.
Do I need to visit an office in Edge?
No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Edge or anywhere else in West Midlands.
I searched "corporation tax near me" — is this service really local to Edge?
Edge is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Edge town centre or the edge of West Midlands. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.
Who will actually handle my corporation tax?
Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.
How do your fixed fees work?
You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.
From our inbox: what Edge businesses ask us
If you're a sole trader or landlord anywhere near the £50,000 income mark, Making Tax Digital will change your filing rhythm from 2026: four digital updates a year plus a final declaration. Clients who move their records to software early find the transition a non-event.
Auto-enrolment applies from the first eligible employee: assess, enrol, contribute, declare. The Pensions Regulator does check, and the fines for ignoring it are out of proportion to how simple compliance actually is.
If your last Self Assessment bill was over £1,000, HMRC usually asks for next year's tax in advance — half on 31 January, half on 31 July. It's the number-one cause of "why is my bill double?" calls, and it's manageable: if your income has dropped, the payments can be reduced with a claim.
Compare accountants on the things that bite later: is the fee fixed and written down, what exactly is included, who does the work, how fast do they answer in January. Proximity to Edge stopped being the differentiator the day filings went electronic.
Every tax bill is predictable months in advance — which makes tax the most plannable cost a business has. A separate tax savings account, fed a fixed percentage of every sale, converts January from a crisis into a transfer.
Miss 31 January and the £100 fine is automatic; three months later daily penalties start. If you're behind on a return, the maths almost always favours filing quickly over waiting — penalties grow on a timetable, and HMRC charges interest either way.
The honest answer changes with your profits. At lower profits, sole trader simplicity usually wins; as profits grow, a limited company's mix of salary and dividends, corporation tax rates and liability protection starts earning its extra admin. We run the actual numbers before recommending either.
Register with HMRC by the 5 October after your first tax year of trading, open a separate business account, and put a fixed slice of every payment aside for tax. Do those three things and your first January will be boring — the good kind.
General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Edge, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
