What Canada gets with Bohzo Accountants
Upload, approve, filed. The whole engagement runs from your phone or laptop, on your schedule rather than office hours.
Before we touch anything for a Canada client, the fee is in writing — and it stays put. Hourly billing doesn't exist here.
Every filing date that applies to you goes in our diary the day you join — and we chase the records, not the other way round.
Bohzo Accountants is a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, Company No. 15031604.
Compare our fixed payroll fees
| Your situation | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Director-only payroll (1 person) | £25/mo |
| Up to 5 employees | £45/mo |
| Up to 10 employees | £69/mo |
| Auto-enrolment pension setup (one-off) | £99 |
“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.
Online accountants vs the high street
Traditional firms around Yorkshire still run on hourly billing, office appointments and fees you discover after the work. We work the other way round: one fixed fee agreed in writing before anything starts, every question included, and the whole engagement handled online — which is exactly why we can serve Canada at fees a walk-in office can't match.
There's no office to fund in Canada and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.
Payroll in Canada: from first message to filed
Start with a message — no forms, no phone queue. Tell us what needs doing and we take it from there.
One fixed price before any work starts. Complex case? We say so now, not on the invoice.
The legal bits — ID verification, engagement letter — happen online in minutes, then your records come in via the portal or WhatsApp.
We prepare, you check and approve, we submit — and you get the HMRC confirmation the same day it's filed.
The same service in Canada as anywhere — by design
Whether your business trades from Canada itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Canada clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.
Smaller towns like Canada are exactly why we work online: the nearest high-street firm may be a drive away, keep office hours, and price like scarcity. Your accountant should be as close as your phone — and priced like competition exists.
Where we work around Canada
Canada is part of Yorkshire, with Cambridge (Leeds) its nearest neighbour — about 0.2 miles to the north-west. Canada clients often ask whether we also cover the surrounding villages and towns. We do — here's what "nearby" actually looks like from Canada.
| Nearby | Distance from Canada | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Cambridge (Leeds) | 0.2 miles | north-west |
| Crow Trees Park | 0.2 miles | south-west |
| Rufford Park | 0.4 miles | north |
| Little London | 0.5 miles | south-west |
| London, Little | 0.5 miles | south-west |
Distances are straight-line, between place centres. Every listed place — and everywhere between — is served online at the same fixed fees.
Payroll deadlines
| Date | What happens |

Canada payroll FAQs
I'm the only employee of my company — do I need payroll?
If you pay yourself a salary, yes — you need a PAYE scheme and RTI submissions even for one person. Director-only payroll is our most popular package at £25/mo, and we set the salary at the most tax-efficient level for you.
What is auto-enrolment and does it apply to me?
Every employer must assess staff for a workplace pension and enrol eligible employees. Even if your only staff member is you as director, you have duties to declare. We handle assessments, letters and declarations as part of the service.
Can you take over payroll mid-year?
Yes — we transfer year-to-date figures from your old provider or HMRC records and carry straight on. Your staff won't notice anything except that payslips keep arriving on time.
Do I need to visit an office in Canada?
No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Canada or anywhere else in Yorkshire.
I searched "payroll near me" — is this service really local to Canada?
Canada is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Canada town centre or the edge of Yorkshire. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.
Who will actually handle my payroll?
Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.
How do your fixed fees work?
You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.
Tax, briefly — the parts that affect Canada
Receipts win arguments. HMRC doesn't demand a shoebox of paper any more — photos in an app are fine — but every deduction needs evidence behind it. A ten-minute weekly habit beats a January archaeology dig, every time.
Dividends can only be paid from accumulated profits, and paperwork matters: board minutes and dividend vouchers, dated correctly. "Illegal dividends" isn't dramatic language — overdrawn payments can be reclassified, with tax consequences, if the profits weren't there.
Timing disposals across tax years, using losses properly, and the spousal transfer rules can all legitimately reduce capital gains bills — but only before the sale. CGT planning after completion is just arithmetic.
First-year traders around Canada tend to make the same three mistakes: registering late, mixing business and personal spending in one account, and saving nothing for the first tax bill. All three are avoidable in an afternoon of setup.
Filing early doesn't mean paying early: submit a return in May and the tax is still not due until the usual dates. Early filing buys certainty, refund speed and time to arrange payment — it costs nothing.
Every year a wave of returns gets filed in the final days of January. It works, but it's the most expensive way to do it: no time to check for missed reliefs, and any tax due lands as one surprise. Sending your records early — even unsorted — is the single best gift you can give your January self.
Selling a rental property triggers capital gains tax with a tight reporting window — UK residential sales must be reported and the tax paid within 60 days of completion. It's one of the easiest deadlines in the whole system to miss, and one of the most penalised.
Payments on account catch people out because the first year effectively bills you one-and-a-half years of tax at once. Knowing that in advance changes how you save through the year — and if profits fall, we can apply to reduce the July payment rather than lending HMRC money interest-free.
