Compare our fixed payroll fees
| Your situation | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Director-only payroll (1 person) | £25/mo |
| Up to 5 employees | £45/mo |
| Up to 10 employees | £69/mo |
| Auto-enrolment pension setup (one-off) | £99 |
“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.
Online accountants vs the high street
A high-street accountant in Scotland typically bills by the hour, meets by appointment and prices each extra question. We built the opposite: written fixed fees agreed up front, unlimited questions inside the price, and a fully online workflow — no premises anywhere, so no premises priced into your fee in Dunipace.
There's no office to fund in Dunipace and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.
Payroll in Dunipace: from first message to filed
Start with a message — no forms, no phone queue. Tell us what needs doing and we take it from there.
One fixed price before any work starts. Complex case? We say so now, not on the invoice.
The legal bits — ID verification, engagement letter — happen online in minutes, then your records come in via the portal or WhatsApp.
We prepare, you check and approve, we submit — and you get the HMRC confirmation the same day it's filed.
The same service in Dunipace as anywhere — by design
Whether your business trades from Dunipace itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Dunipace clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.
A lot of our Scotland clients switched from local firms after one too many surprise invoices. The fix wasn't a cheaper local firm; it was removing the billing model that produces surprises. Fixed fees, in writing, before the work — that's the whole trick.

Dunipace payroll FAQs
I'm the only employee of my company — do I need payroll?
If you pay yourself a salary, yes — you need a PAYE scheme and RTI submissions even for one person. Director-only payroll is our most popular package at £25/mo, and we set the salary at the most tax-efficient level for you.
What is auto-enrolment and does it apply to me?
Every employer must assess staff for a workplace pension and enrol eligible employees. Even if your only staff member is you as director, you have duties to declare. We handle assessments, letters and declarations as part of the service.
Can you take over payroll mid-year?
Yes — we transfer year-to-date figures from your old provider or HMRC records and carry straight on. Your staff won't notice anything except that payslips keep arriving on time.
Do I need to visit an office in Dunipace?
No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Dunipace or anywhere else in Scotland.
I searched "payroll near me" — is this service really local to Dunipace?
Dunipace is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Dunipace town centre or the edge of Scotland. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.
Who will actually handle my payroll?
Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.
How do your fixed fees work?
You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.
The short version of the rules that matter
If your last Self Assessment bill was over £1,000, HMRC usually asks for next year's tax in advance — half on 31 January, half on 31 July. It's the number-one cause of "why is my bill double?" calls, and it's manageable: if your income has dropped, the payments can be reduced with a claim.
The tax-free dividend allowance is down to £500, so almost any director taking dividends now pays some dividend tax — and needs a Self Assessment return to report it. The classic small-salary-plus-dividends strategy still works; it just needs actual planning rather than folklore.
Rental profits need reporting once they're more than trivial, and the rules differ for furnished holiday lets, rent-a-room and ordinary lets. Landlords are also in the first wave of Making Tax Digital — property income counts towards the £50,000 threshold.
The first tax bill is the hardest because it can arrive with payments on account attached — up to 150% of the year's tax in one go. New businesses that save a quarter to a third of profits from day one never feel it.
Company deadlines run off your accounting year end, not the tax year: corporation tax is payable nine months and one day after year end, and the CT600 return is due twelve months after. Confusingly, the payment is due before the return — a sequencing quirk that catches new directors.
The best time to switch is after a filing, but it works at any point in the year. What matters is not letting a looming deadline stop you: a new firm can usually pick up an in-flight year faster than you'd think.
Online Self Assessment returns are due by 31 January, along with any balancing payment — and HMRC's £100 penalty applies the moment the deadline passes, even if you owe nothing. Most Dunipace clients who come to us in January still file on time; the records just need to arrive before the last week.
Self Assessment lateness is priced in stages: £100 immediately, daily £10 penalties after three months (up to £900), then percentage-based charges at six and twelve months — all separate from interest on unpaid tax. The curve is designed to reward filing sooner, whatever the state of your records.
