Why Ringwood businesses pick Bohzo
Before we touch anything for a Ringwood client, the fee is in writing — and it stays put. Hourly billing doesn't exist here.
Upload, approve, filed. The whole engagement runs from your phone or laptop, on your schedule rather than office hours.
Bohzo Accountants is a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, Company No. 15031604.
Every filing date that applies to you goes in our diary the day you join — and we chase the records, not the other way round.
Compare our fixed payroll fees
| Your situation | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Director-only payroll (1 person) | £25/mo |
| Up to 5 employees | £45/mo |
| Up to 10 employees | £69/mo |
| Auto-enrolment pension setup (one-off) | £99 |
“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.
Online accountants vs the high street
Most local firms near Ringwood quote low, bill by the hour and reserve the right to charge for every phone call. Our model inverts that: the fee is fixed and written down before work begins, questions are part of the service rather than billable events, and everything happens online — the reason Ringwood pays the same as everywhere else.
There's no office to fund in Ringwood and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.
Payroll in Ringwood: from first message to filed
WhatsApp or the enquiry form — describe what you need and roughly what your records look like. Two minutes.
You get one written fixed price before anything begins — and if your case is unusual, we price that honestly up front.
Onboarding is a phone job: verify identity, sign the engagement letter, upload records. Nothing needs you to leave Ringwood.
You review everything first. Then it goes to HMRC electronically and you get confirmation immediately.
The same service in Ringwood as anywhere — by design
Whether your business trades from Ringwood itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Ringwood clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.
A lot of our South East clients switched from local firms after one too many surprise invoices. The fix wasn't a cheaper local firm; it was removing the billing model that produces surprises. Fixed fees, in writing, before the work — that's the whole trick.

Ringwood payroll FAQs
I'm the only employee of my company — do I need payroll?
If you pay yourself a salary, yes — you need a PAYE scheme and RTI submissions even for one person. Director-only payroll is our most popular package at £25/mo, and we set the salary at the most tax-efficient level for you.
What is auto-enrolment and does it apply to me?
Every employer must assess staff for a workplace pension and enrol eligible employees. Even if your only staff member is you as director, you have duties to declare. We handle assessments, letters and declarations as part of the service.
Can you take over payroll mid-year?
Yes — we transfer year-to-date figures from your old provider or HMRC records and carry straight on. Your staff won't notice anything except that payslips keep arriving on time.
Do I need to visit an office in Ringwood?
No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Ringwood or anywhere else in South East.
I searched "payroll near me" — is this service really local to Ringwood?
Ringwood is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Ringwood town centre or the edge of South East. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.
Who will actually handle my payroll?
Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.
How do your fixed fees work?
You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.
The short version of the rules that matter
Register with HMRC by the 5 October after your first tax year of trading, open a separate business account, and put a fixed slice of every payment aside for tax. Do those three things and your first January will be boring — the good kind.
The capital gains annual exempt amount has shrunk to £3,000, which pulls far more ordinary disposals — shares, crypto, second properties — into reporting territory. Gains that once fell under the allowance now need a return, even when the tax due is modest.
Miss 31 January and the £100 fine is automatic; three months later daily penalties start. If you're behind on a return, the maths almost always favours filing quickly over waiting — penalties grow on a timetable, and HMRC charges interest either way.
People stay with the wrong accountant for years because switching feels disruptive. In practice the profession has a standard handover process — clearance letters, copies of prior returns and working papers — and the new firm drives it, not you.
Can't pay the bill by the deadline? File anyway. Filing and payment are penalised separately, and HMRC's Time to Pay arrangements can spread the bill — but only once the return is in. Not filing because you can't pay turns one problem into two.
The July payment on account is the forgotten deadline: no return is due, but money often is. We diary it for every client it applies to, because HMRC charges interest from the day it's late even though nothing was "filed" late.
Most self-employed people under-claim. Use of home, mileage at HMRC's approved rates, phone and broadband apportionment, trade subscriptions, training that updates existing skills — legitimate deductions left on the table add up to real tax overpaid year after year.
The best salary-dividend mix moves with each year's thresholds and your other income. Setting it once in April — rather than guessing through the year — is one of the simplest pieces of planning a director can do.
General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Ringwood, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
