We're Bohzo Ltd (Company No. 15031604) — a registered UK company you can look up, not an anonymous website.

Compare our fixed payroll fees
| Your situation | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Director-only payroll (1 person) | £25/mo |
| Up to 5 employees | £45/mo |
| Up to 10 employees | £69/mo |
| Auto-enrolment pension setup (one-off) | £99 |
“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.
Online accountants vs the high street
Traditional firms around North West still run on hourly billing, office appointments and fees you discover after the work. We work the other way round: one fixed fee agreed in writing before anything starts, every question included, and the whole engagement handled online — which is exactly why we can serve Wool at fees a walk-in office can't match.
There's no office to fund in Wool and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.
Payroll in Wool: from first message to filed
A WhatsApp message from Wool is enough to start: what you need, what shape your records are in, any deadline you're worried about.
The quote arrives in writing, covers everything discussed, and is the number you'll actually pay. No revisions later.
Identity checks, engagement letter, secure record upload — all handled from wherever you are in Wool. We chase whatever's missing.
Nothing is filed until you've seen and approved it. Once you have, submission is electronic and confirmation comes straight back.
The same service in Wool as anywhere — by design
Whether your business trades from Wool itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Wool clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.
A lot of our North West clients switched from local firms after one too many surprise invoices. The fix wasn't a cheaper local firm; it was removing the billing model that produces surprises. Fixed fees, in writing, before the work — that's the whole trick.

Wool payroll FAQs
I'm the only employee of my company — do I need payroll?
If you pay yourself a salary, yes — you need a PAYE scheme and RTI submissions even for one person. Director-only payroll is our most popular package at £25/mo, and we set the salary at the most tax-efficient level for you.
What is auto-enrolment and does it apply to me?
Every employer must assess staff for a workplace pension and enrol eligible employees. Even if your only staff member is you as director, you have duties to declare. We handle assessments, letters and declarations as part of the service.
Can you take over payroll mid-year?
Yes — we transfer year-to-date figures from your old provider or HMRC records and carry straight on. Your staff won't notice anything except that payslips keep arriving on time.
Do I need to visit an office in Wool?
No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Wool or anywhere else in North West.
I searched "payroll near me" — is this service really local to Wool?
Wool is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Wool town centre or the edge of North West. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.
Who will actually handle my payroll?
Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.
How do your fixed fees work?
You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.
Things worth knowing before your next filing
If a return is late because HMRC asked for one you don't actually need, it can sometimes be withdrawn entirely — penalties included. And where there's a genuine reasonable excuse, appeals succeed more often than people expect. The wrong move is ignoring the letters.
Disposing of crypto — selling, swapping one coin for another, spending it — is a capital gains event, and staking or mining income is usually income. Exchanges share data with HMRC, so the tax position exists whether or not it's been calculated.
Every year a wave of returns gets filed in the final days of January. It works, but it's the most expensive way to do it: no time to check for missed reliefs, and any tax due lands as one surprise. Sending your records early — even unsorted — is the single best gift you can give your January self.
From April 2026, self-employed people and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 move onto Making Tax Digital for Income Tax: digital records and quarterly updates to HMRC, not one annual return. The year before is the right time to get bookkeeping into shape.
First-year traders around Wool tend to make the same three mistakes: registering late, mixing business and personal spending in one account, and saving nothing for the first tax bill. All three are avoidable in an afternoon of setup.
A good accountant should be able to tell you, in plain English, what they'll do, when, and for exactly how much. Vagueness on any of the three is the tell. Everything else — size of firm, fancy office, distance from Wool — is decoration.
Dividends can only be paid from accumulated profits, and paperwork matters: board minutes and dividend vouchers, dated correctly. "Illegal dividends" isn't dramatic language — overdrawn payments can be reclassified, with tax consequences, if the profits weren't there.
Payments on account catch people out because the first year effectively bills you one-and-a-half years of tax at once. Knowing that in advance changes how you save through the year — and if profits fall, we can apply to reduce the July payment rather than lending HMRC money interest-free.
General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Wool, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
