Why Bohzo

Why choose Bohzo Accountants in Hilton?

One fixed price, in writing

Quote first, work second: one written price that can't drift, however many questions you ask along the way.

Deadlines managed for you

Self Assessment, VAT quarters, accounts, confirmation statements — each deadline is tracked and chased by us, well before it's close.

Who you're dealing with

We're Bohzo Ltd (Company No. 15031604) — a registered UK company you can look up, not an anonymous website.

100% online, by design

Secure portal and WhatsApp — no office visits, no printing, no waiting rooms.

Transparent pricing

Year-end accounts from tidy records£149
Accounts + Self Assessment bundle£229

“From” pricing reflects the simplest case; anything more complex is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work begins — and never changes after.

What makes us different

Online accountants vs the high street

A high-street accountant in East of England typically bills by the hour, meets by appointment and prices each extra question. We built the opposite: written fixed fees agreed up front, unlimited questions inside the price, and a fully online workflow — no premises anywhere, so no premises priced into your fee in Hilton.

There's no office to fund in Hilton and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.

How it works

Sole Trader Accounts in Hilton: from first message to filed

Message us from Hilton

A WhatsApp message from Hilton is enough to start: what you need, what shape your records are in, any deadline you're worried about.

Fixed quote in writing

The quote arrives in writing, covers everything discussed, and is the number you'll actually pay. No revisions later.

Online onboarding

Identity checks, engagement letter, secure record upload — all handled from wherever you are in Hilton. We chase whatever's missing.

Approve, then we file

Nothing is filed until you've seen and approved it. Once you have, submission is electronic and confirmation comes straight back.

Serving Hilton

The same service in Hilton as anywhere — by design

Whether your business trades from Hilton itself or you simply live there and work everywhere, the tax rules are national — and so are we. Hilton clients get the same preparers, the same fixed fees and the same deadline tracking as every other town on this site.

Smaller towns like Hilton are exactly why we work online: the nearest high-street firm may be a drive away, keep office hours, and price like scarcity. Your accountant should be as close as your phone — and priced like competition exists.

Hilton & around

Where we work around Hilton

Hilton is part of East of England, in the PE28 postcode area, with Mill Hill its nearest neighbour — about 0.1 miles to the south-west. If you're comparing local options from Hilton, it helps to see the map the way we do — one service area, no travel involved.

Questions

Hilton sole trader accounts FAQs

Do sole traders legally need accounts?

There's no Companies House filing for sole traders, but you must keep records supporting your Self Assessment — and proper accounts almost always save more tax than they cost, because expenses stop slipping through the cracks.

What expenses can I claim?

Anything wholly and exclusively for the business: materials, tools, mileage or vehicle costs, phone, insurance, home-office use, software, professional fees and more. Our job is claiming everything legitimate — clients are usually surprised by what they'd been missing.

My records are a mess — is that a problem?

Not for us. The 'shoebox' package exists precisely for carrier bags of receipts and a year of bank statements. We sort, categorise and build your accounts from whatever you have.

Do I need to visit an office in Hilton?

No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Hilton or anywhere else in East of England.

I searched "accounts near me" — is this service really local to Hilton?

Hilton is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Hilton town centre or the edge of East of England. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.

Who will actually handle my accounts?

Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.

How do your fixed fees work?

You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.

Worth knowing

Things worth knowing before your next filing

Payroll and pensions for small employers

Auto-enrolment applies from the first eligible employee: assess, enrol, contribute, declare. The Pensions Regulator does check, and the fines for ignoring it are out of proportion to how simple compliance actually is.

CIS: refunds hide in the paperwork

Limited companies in CIS reclaim differently to sole traders — through payroll or the company tax return rather than Self Assessment. Plenty of construction companies sit on refundable deductions without realising; a quick review of the CIS position often pays for itself immediately.

IR35 and working through a company

If you contract through your own limited company, IR35 asks whether you'd be an employee without it. For medium and large clients, the status decision is theirs; for small clients, it's still yours — and getting it wrong in either direction costs money.

The VAT registration threshold

Some businesses register for VAT before they must — reclaiming input VAT can be worth it if your customers are VAT-registered themselves. Others should stay below deliberately. It's a real decision with real numbers, not a formality.

Dividends: the allowance is small now

The tax-free dividend allowance is down to £500, so almost any director taking dividends now pays some dividend tax — and needs a Self Assessment return to report it. The classic small-salary-plus-dividends strategy still works; it just needs actual planning rather than folklore.

The 31 January deadline, without the panic

Online Self Assessment returns are due by 31 January, along with any balancing payment — and HMRC's £100 penalty applies the moment the deadline passes, even if you owe nothing. Most Hilton clients who come to us in January still file on time; the records just need to arrive before the last week.

Crypto is taxable — and visible

HMRC runs nudge-letter campaigns to crypto holders based on exchange data. If there are undeclared gains in past years, a voluntary disclosure is dramatically cheaper than waiting for the letter — penalties are scaled to cooperation.

Corporation tax dates work differently

Company deadlines run off your accounting year end, not the tax year: corporation tax is payable nine months and one day after year end, and the CT600 return is due twelve months after. Confusingly, the payment is due before the return — a sequencing quirk that catches new directors.

General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Hilton, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
