Why Bohzo

Why choose Bohzo Accountants in Frimley?

The price is the price

Before we touch anything for a Frimley client, the fee is in writing — and it stays put. Hourly billing doesn't exist here.

Never miss a date again

Every filing date that applies to you goes in our diary the day you join — and we chase the records, not the other way round.

Real company, real accountability

What makes us different

Online accountants vs the high street

A high-street accountant in South East typically bills by the hour, meets by appointment and prices each extra question. We work the other way round: one fixed fee agreed in writing before anything starts, every question included, and the whole engagement handled online — which is exactly why we can serve Frimley at fees a walk-in office can't match.

There's no office to fund in Frimley and no office to visit: records travel through our secure portal or WhatsApp, approvals happen on your phone, and filings go to HMRC and Companies House electronically. You get the same qualified work — minus the overheads, the travel and the surprises on the invoice.

How it works

VAT Returns in Frimley: from first message to filed

Message us from Frimley

Start with a message — no forms, no phone queue. Tell us what needs doing and we take it from there.

Fixed quote in writing

One fixed price before any work starts. Complex case? We say so now, not on the invoice.

Online onboarding

The legal bits — ID verification, engagement letter — happen online in minutes, then your records come in via the portal or WhatsApp.

Approve, then we file

We prepare, you check and approve, we submit — and you get the HMRC confirmation the same day it's filed.

Serving Frimley

The same service in Frimley as anywhere — by design

We built this service so that someone in Frimley never pays a premium — or accepts worse service — because of geography. Same specialists, same published fees, same speed, wherever in South East you are.

Smaller towns like Frimley are exactly why we work online: the nearest high-street firm may be a drive away, keep office hours, and price like scarcity. Your accountant should be as close as your phone — and priced like competition exists.

Questions

Frimley vat returns FAQs

When do I have to register for VAT?

When your taxable turnover in any rolling 12-month period passes £90,000 — a rolling test, not your accounting year, and the most common way businesses get caught out. We monitor it for bookkeeping clients automatically.

Which VAT scheme is best for me?

It depends on your margins and customers. The flat-rate scheme suits some service businesses; cash accounting helps if customers pay slowly; standard suits most. We'll compare them for your numbers before registering you.

What is Making Tax Digital?

HMRC's requirement that VAT records are kept digitally and returns filed through compatible software. If you're still on spreadsheets and manual filing, we'll move you across as part of onboarding — it's included.

Do I need to visit an office in Frimley?

No — there's nothing to visit and nothing to print. We're an online firm: records go through our secure portal or WhatsApp, and everything is filed electronically. It works the same whether you're in Frimley or anywhere else in South East.

I searched "vat near me" — is this service really local to Frimley?

Frimley is fully covered, yes. The work is done online, which in practice means more local than an office: same-day replies instead of appointment slots, and the same published fixed fee whether you're in Frimley town centre or the edge of South East. If you'd rather talk it through first, WhatsApp us — a real person answers.

Who will actually handle my vat?

Bohzo Accountants — a trading name of Bohzo Ltd, a registered UK company (No. 15031604). You get a named contact, a fixed fee in writing, and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and approved it.

How do your fixed fees work?

You tell us your situation, we quote one fixed price in writing before any work starts, and that price never changes mid-job. If your case is unusually complex we'll say so up front and agree a different fixed price — but the fee is always agreed before we begin, never after.

Worth knowing

Things worth knowing before your next filing

The 31 January deadline, without the panic

Online Self Assessment returns are due by 31 January, along with any balancing payment — and HMRC's £100 penalty applies the moment the deadline passes, even if you owe nothing. Most Frimley clients who come to us in January still file on time; the records just need to arrive before the last week.

Dividends: the allowance is small now

Dividends can only be paid from accumulated profits, and paperwork matters: board minutes and dividend vouchers, dated correctly. "Illegal dividends" isn't dramatic language — overdrawn payments can be reclassified, with tax consequences, if the profits weren't there.

Crypto is taxable — and visible

Disposing of crypto — selling, swapping one coin for another, spending it — is a capital gains event, and staking or mining income is usually income. Exchanges share data with HMRC, so the tax position exists whether or not it's been calculated.

Penalties escalate on a timetable

If a return is late because HMRC asked for one you don't actually need, it can sometimes be withdrawn entirely — penalties included. And where there's a genuine reasonable excuse, appeals succeed more often than people expect. The wrong move is ignoring the letters.

Capital gains: windows and allowances

Timing disposals across tax years, using losses properly, and the spousal transfer rules can all legitimately reduce capital gains bills — but only before the sale. CGT planning after completion is just arithmetic.

Allowable expenses: claim what's yours

Receipts win arguments. HMRC doesn't demand a shoebox of paper any more — photos in an app are fine — but every deduction needs evidence behind it. A ten-minute weekly habit beats a January archaeology dig, every time.

Making Tax Digital is coming for income tax

From April 2026, self-employed people and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 move onto Making Tax Digital for Income Tax: digital records and quarterly updates to HMRC, not one annual return. The year before is the right time to get bookkeeping into shape.

Corporation tax dates work differently

Company deadlines run off your accounting year end, not the tax year: corporation tax is payable nine months and one day after year end, and the CT600 return is due twelve months after. Confusingly, the payment is due before the return — a sequencing quirk that catches new directors.

General guidance, not personal advice — thresholds and dates change. For advice on your own position in Frimley, message us and we'll answer against your actual numbers.
